Programs crash, Google searches hijacked?
Recently, AIM and Firefox both started crashing frequently. At one point, my Google search results were being hijacked, leading me to pages I didn’t request, or a bizarre page with the following:

While the Google hijackings seem to have stopped, AIM still crashes from time to time, and Firefox crashes almost every time I open a different website for the first time. Additionally, programs like MalwareBytes and AVG fail to update, even though I’m still online. I’ve run half a dozen spyware programs, including Stinger’s Conficker tool, as well as two AV programs. I’ve run them from safe mode, from a separate OS on a second hard drive, and from regular operations. Nothing is being detected.
What can possibly be wrong here??
As I said in the initial question, AVG won’t update, and running it finds no viruses.
you’ve got a virus! I reccomend downloading AVG!
