av multi output on ps3 is fried?
its my fault this happen. i had alot of things plugged in into run room, so i brought my ps3 to that room and when i plug my ps3 into the surge protector nothing happens, but when i put my video out put in to the tv aka the yellow jack, sparks shoot out and my power goes off in one side of my house, and when i touched my av multi output thingy itwas burning hot. can someone please help me because i need my ps3 working when final fantasy 13 comes out.
That sounds like a short circuit of some sort–sparks, really hot connectors, these are all signs of a short circuit (when a surge of electricity is suddenly connected directly between the negative and positive poles without any resistance).

If your PS3’s warranty period is still active, then you should be able to have it replaced for free. However, if your warranty period is up, then there will most likely be a charge to get it fixed.
Of course, if there’s local electronic repair shops, you may also try asking them if they do console repairs, and if so, for how much (best to do this once you contact Sony first, however).
