Small Hand Torch
Lump in back of throat? Doctors please answer i am panicking!?
i have a pea sized lump in the back of my throat. It doesent hurt but it really irritates me. I am 13 years old and went to the doctor today with my mum as i have been having some problems with my ears-getting ear ache ect. i didnt say anything as i thought i might have just had a bit of food stuck in there. but when i got home i looked in the mirror with a torch and on the left hand side at the back is this sort of small lump thing which is very hard. I spoke to my parents about it and they said not to worry but i thought i would get a second opinion. i dont want to go to the doctors as i am embarassed. i mean i only went today!!! Lol

First of all, try not to worry (I know it’s hard not to). I would go to the doctor and have it checked out. Don’t be embarrassed, that is what doctors are there for. Your ears nose and throat are all connected and if you have ear ache, it is very likely that the lump in your throat is to do with that. Lumps are frightening, but please go and see the doctor again and tell him/her you are frightened. Tell your parents, too, that you are scared as they probably aren’t aware just how upset you are at this. Good luck. xx
